Amazon Compliance Guides

Amazon blocked, restricted, classified, or requested documents for your product? Start with the exact Seller Central notice and open the route that matches the product, marketplace, and requested evidence.

Amazon compliance issues can come from different systems: listing or category restrictions, FBA dangerous-goods classification, product-document requests, regulated-product eligibility, and country-specific environmental obligations. An Amazon request is a marketplace workflow, not automatically a legal conclusion. Use the exact notice first, then check the underlying rule or evidence path.

Start with the Amazon notice

FBA / SDS

FBA SDS or dangerous-goods review

Use this when an ASIN is in dangerous-goods review or Amazon asks for an SDS or exemption document.

Medical devices

510(k) restriction

Use this when Amazon restricts a medical device or asks for 510(k) evidence. Separate the marketplace classification from the FDA pathway.

EPA / FIFRA

Pesticide flag

Use this when Amazon asks for an EPA registration number, establishment number, exemption, or pesticide-related evidence.

Ireland / EPR

Packaging EPR / ERN

Use this when Amazon Ireland asks for packaging-EPR evidence or an Extended Producer Responsibility Number.

🇺🇸 United States

FBA and dangerous goods

Open Amazon FBA Compliance Guides for the full dangerous-goods and SDS route, or go directly to FBA Hazmat/SDS Rejected when Amazon has rejected the document. Amazon asking for an SDS does not mean every retail product has an OSHA SDS duty. Diagnose the product, listing, and document before commissioning new work.

Medical devices and FDA evidence

An Amazon 510(k) request is not itself an FDA determination that the seller needs a new clearance. Start with the direct restriction page, then confirm classification, exemption status, device listing, and the evidence Amazon actually requested.

Pesticides, EPA, and FIFRA

An Amazon pesticide flag does not prove that EPA has classified the item as a pesticide. Product claims, images, listing attributes, registration status, and the type of number requested must be checked before choosing a remedy.

🇮🇪 Ireland / 🇪🇺 European Union

Keep the Ireland and European Union route separate from Amazon US. Use it when selling packaged goods into Ireland and the Amazon case asks for packaging EPR registration evidence or an Extended Producer Responsibility Number. Amazon validates evidence, but the marketplace does not create the underlying EPR obligation.

Not sure what Amazon is asking?

  1. Save the complete Seller Central notice or case message.
  2. Record the ASIN, marketplace or store, fulfilment route, product category, and the account that received the request.
  3. Identify whether the issue concerns FBA dangerous goods, category eligibility, medical-device evidence, pesticide or EPA evidence, EPR, or another document request.
  4. Write down the exact document, number, exemption, or correction Amazon asks you to submit.
  5. Open the matching XrdaGrid problem page above before paying for a service.

Diagnosis comes first. Do not obtain a 510(k), register a pesticide, commission an SDS, or buy an EPR service merely because Amazon displayed a flag. Confirm the product classification, applicable legal duty, existing evidence, and the scope of the marketplace request.

Before you pay a provider

Check the product and category, the exact requested evidence, current manufacturer or supplier documents, the listing text and images, and whether the legal duty belongs to your business. If outside help is genuinely needed, compare the deliverable—not only the headline price.

Browse all decision guides or provider comparisons. Read how XrdaGrid checks claims in the methodology and editorial policy. If none of the routes matches the notice, keep the case text unchanged and diagnose the requested evidence before choosing a service. XrdaGrid provides independent research and navigation, not legal advice, and does not guarantee Amazon approval or reinstatement.
